Your partner for creating sustainable future
Urban beekeeping is the future of sustainable cities
“If bees disappeared from the face of the Earth, humanity would not survive for more than four years.” – Albert Einstein
As bee populations decline, urban parks and gardens lose their most crucial pollinators. Urban beekeeping is gaining popularity among city residents, aiming to reintroduce bees into the human world and contribute to sustainable and green urban development. In major cities worldwide, beehives are already being erected on rooftops, and the Urbanbee.lt team pioneers this initiative in Lithuania.
Beehives in cities provide residents with the opportunity to get up close and personal with these remarkable tiny scientists and reconnect with nature.
Interacting with bees positively impacts human well-being and provides an opportunity to strengthen community bonds. Caring for bees in their environment not only helps achieve social and environmental welfare goals or improves indicators of urban biodiversity but also allows city dwellers to cultivate awareness, productivity, and a sustainable outlook on the urban environment.

How urban beekeeping works?
1. Hosting friendly bees in handmades beehives
Our hives are made from natural solid wood, ensuring excellent living conditions for bees. Along with the hives, we establish friendly Buckfast breed bees, which are widely known worldwide for their calm and peaceful nature.
2. We ensure continuous and professional beekeeping care
We take full responsibility for the health of the bee colony and provide work reports to our clients. There is also the possibility to receive smart hive data such as weight, temperature, and even sound.
3. We extract and professionally package the honey
When the hives fill with honey, we professionally extract all the combs and pour the honey at our apiary base. Your duty is to invite friends or neighbors to taste the fresh and aromatic honey.
4. We organise unique and educational workshops
Looking for an original teambuilding ideas? By caring for bees, you'll have the opportunity to get close to beekeeping firsthand. Beekeeping is the best way to build teamwork.
5.Strengthen your environmental and social responsibility ESG
By pollinating plants, bees positively contribute to environmental preservation, reducing the impacts of the climate crisis. Companies that support bees make a positive contribution to the environment.
6. Citizen science: biodiversity index
and honey research
Bees collect data that reveals the quality of environmental air and the level of biodiversity. By nurturing bees, you contribute to the global INSIGNIA project and the community of citizen scientists dedicated to environmental research.
